Michael is a structural engineer with more than 12 years engineering new construction and adaptive reuse, with a focus on transforming existing structures through upgrades, reconfigurations, and conversions.
That experience is a natural fit for residential work. Removing a bearing wall, adding a second story over an existing first floor, or reinforcing an older framing system all start with understanding what the house is doing today, and Michael designs the beams, posts, and connections that let it do more.
He works hand in hand with the architects on each project so structure and design are resolved together.
